GetGaffer — Terms of Service

1. Who We Are
GetGaffer is a labour coordination service operated by GetGaffer (jobs@getgaffer.io). We connect construction site managers with recruitment agencies to source CSCS-certified workers. We are not a recruitment agency, staffing company, or employer.
2. What We Do
When you submit a job request, we broadcast it to our network of pre-vetted recruitment agencies simultaneously. We collect available offers and present you with the best option based on rate, availability, and agency reliability. All work is carried out via WhatsApp.
3. Our Fee
We charge a flat fee of £100 per successful fill. A fill is deemed successful when you confirm the worker has arrived on site at the agreed start time (within 30 minutes of the agreed time). No fee is charged if we cannot fill your request or if the worker does not show up.
4. Payment
A Stripe payment link for £100 will be sent to you via WhatsApp immediately after you confirm the worker has arrived. Payment is due within 7 days. Automated reminders will be sent at day 3 and day 6. Future fills will be withheld for any outstanding invoices beyond 14 days.
5. The Agency Relationship
The recruitment agency supplies the worker and invoices you directly for the worker's day rate. This is a separate commercial arrangement between you and the agency. GetGaffer has no involvement in the day rate, does not employ the worker, and carries no payroll or CIS obligations. You are responsible for honouring the agency's invoice for any worker placed through GetGaffer.
6. No-Show Policy
If a worker does not arrive within 30 minutes of the agreed start time, you must notify us immediately via WhatsApp. No fee will be charged. We will attempt an emergency re-fill where possible. The agency's reliability score will be updated accordingly.
7. Our Liability
GetGaffer is a coordination and introduction service only. We are not liable for the conduct, performance, or non-attendance of any worker supplied by an agency. We are not liable for any costs, losses, or damages arising from a failed fill, including idle plant, programme delays, or consequential losses. Our total liability in any circumstances is limited to the fee paid for the relevant transaction.
8. Your Obligations
By using GetGaffer you agree to:
Provide accurate job information including role, date, location, and certification requirements
Respond promptly to offers and confirmations via WhatsApp
Honour the agency's invoice for any worker placed through GetGaffer
Not contact any agency introduced through GetGaffer directly to circumvent the platform for a period of 12 months from the date of introduction
9. Data and Privacy
We collect your name, work email, and WhatsApp number for the purpose of delivering the service and contacting you about your requests. We do not sell your data to third parties. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing jobs@getgaffer.io.
10. Acceptance
By submitting a job request via WhatsApp or registering via our website, you confirm you have read and accepted these Terms. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and GetGaffer.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
